Everything was beautiful at first
Until the first law ''Eat of every tree, *except*''
Man fell obviously
Who's to blame?
Man, serpent or Lawmaker

Plan B kicked off
God worked with men; men walked with God
Generations passed by
Promise fulfilled at last
Egypt gone for good

Wilderness, the training ground
''These people can't behave'' thought God and his meek
Idea! They probably don't know how to.

Law again
''Do not'', ''Avoid this'', ''Eat that''
Happily they received it
Sadly, they fell short severally

What's wrong?
Law is
Always attracting a break
But there's a solution, just one

The vertical wood with its horizontal part
Measureless sacrifice paid
Now I no longer live
The lamb does and that, through me
As you already know
On my own, I really can't behave.
