July 17, 1996: A woman mourns in memory of her friends she lost of TWA Flight 800 Pain is a god Pain is a god, Questions it asks not. Choice it cares not. Who can predict its call to grass? Depict its knock on mortal. Volition it has monotony. Pain the tremor of the Inevitable, Pain a sigh to relish, Pain, O Mortal Man when will you judge this enemy? Pain…Necessity call. Pain Laughs at the godly, MOCKS THE PRAYERS OF THE SAINTLY. SINNERS OR SAINTS, PAIN IS A REWARD. POWER OF WILL, POWER IS THE GAME CHANGER. PAIN A TICK OF MORTAL. CLUTCHING AND CHEWING, LONG AS THE BREATH REMAINS. RUN TO THE MOUNTAINS, PAIN IS THE SHADOW. PAIN AN ATTRIBUTE OF LIFE. BUT WHY? Hagia sophia
Dear Sapphire, My pen is alarmingly weak and rusty. It's been a while I wrote and my mind is blank. This coffee is bland, Please take no offence. This poem is about me, but for you. Life is a wave, sometimes you crest, other times you trough. I hope my physics is accurate? Coz, this time it is not a crest. Waiting it is. It's like two waves cancelled and the lines levelled out. But you gonna be careful coz, it could easily trough. So you have to set your face continually to the sun, Maybe it's retained warmth will make the night not so cold and lonely. The advice is simple; believe in waiting. Be strong, be steady; O dear, but there is a myth in being strong. Faith can seem fleeting at times and man want to just let go. But we have to keep the faith steady. We've got to finish strong. We keep believing that all things work together for good. Lemme end my diatribe by saying to you Princess Sapphire, Finish strong. Steadily cross the line of your program. Keep the faith....
OH!! NIGERIA: An INVOCATION to THE GOD of OUR FATHERS_ Chukwu Okike Abiama- the greatest deity of all time Your unquestionable existence we extol Our fathers, your faithful worshippers Must lie uneasy in their graves What dost thou behold Through the atmospheric strata A people in darkness thicker than the bulrushes of _Igodo_ lake Ocean mix of blood and tears Hail and wails of the destitute For greedy sons of Belial Serving their bellies and not us Constrain our destiny This is the cause of your wrath Oh! hearken to our pleas born by the wind Tribal bigotry plagues us Like a rotten ulcer on the dorsum of a diabetic's foot Our stench exposes us to carnivores Please, come to our rescue The die is now cast Strengthen us to reclaim our wastelands To rediscover the unity in WaZoBia May our unborn offspring not remember us for shame *Ise!!!!!
