LET GO OF THAT GUILT
He had the highest votes:
Stephen was his name.
Full of the Spirit and the word,
The tables he diligently served.
The unction could hide no longer,
As before the Law keepers,
He proved he should be the first martyr.
The stones came; from this mob of ignorant young men
Led by Saul, soon to be Paul.
A Pharisee turned apostle,
Young man now zealous for the right cause,
This was Paul now.
But the guilt of the past deeds now stood
He had become what he once despised.
He had killed an innocent man and others his kind.
Well, actions done were irreversible.
And right now, all that mattered was that
Grace had saved and was going to keep.
Right now, it was about
FORGETTING ALL THAT WAS BEHIND
AND PRESSING FORWARD
(Phil. 3:13)
