IGNORANCE


Oh! The bells of ignorance ring hard,
Staggering steps of zombies are heard in a distance,
They march forward in confidence.
Their eyes are blinded by lust and faith,
Zealously they approach the banks of desperation.
Yet, after the sacrifice of foolishness is done,
Another, yet another, and another drops dead.
Enlightenment is most pained by these delusions,
Sanity, sanity, it cries out.

There is nothing to write; This mind is tired of any fight; It whispers rest it is night; But there is this feeling that something is not right. There is nothing to write; Yet the will is being stired for a fight; It counsels strike just at night; When it feels that things are just right.
