DAFFODILS

Ho! you've seen a field of daffodils?

Summer birth these beautiful contingents.

Seductively swaying in hot air,

O' daffodils, sweet reflection

Of such careless beauty.

Life is short, love is long.

Your yellow yonder,

O' what wonder,

My fragile heart thunders,

Anticipation make'ee shudder.

Love is a gift from God.

Daffodils, daffodils, daffodils,

Why capture my heart?

Nature bares it's beauty,

Not in high but common sights.

You worth more than a million daffodils.

Common but carelessly beautiful;

Seductively swaying in hot air,

Your yellow yonder,

O' what wonder.

Forgive my tardy brush strokes,

Lemuel
